Okavango Delta, Botswana

Botswana, already the sixth country we are getting into. We have been traveling together for quite a while now, so bonds have formed on the backseat…

Quite shocking sight on the side of the road : vultures eating a donkey’s gum and…two of them alternatively inserting their heads up his bottom, eating him from inside.

In Africa, people try new styles (and fail).

Almost everybody go to a national park, whose name I cannot remember, but I don’t.

I also don’t partake in the Okavango Deltaexpedition. By now, I am fed up with bush-camping and want to spend time on my own. So I stay at the camp in Maun with Paul, our driver and Pippa and Grant, two misguided Welsh. Judging by the pictures, maybe I should have gone.

Victoria and Mike, from Australia, joined us in the Victoria Falls. They always smile and wear adventurer hats.

I also missed the walk in the delta. At one point, in the middle of nowhere, my companions heard their guide scream “Shit…buffalo…RUUUUUUUUUNNNN”, and running first leaving them behind.

Eventually, we took small planes to fly over the delta. Knowing we were not insured because our pilots were not licensed… we still flew. Life is about taking risks. I am at the front.
